About
Looq extends macOS Quick Look well beyond its built-in file types. Open Markdown files to see them fully rendered, with a table of contents, KaTeX math, Mermaid diagrams, GitHub-flavored alerts, and emoji shortcodes, and watch previews update live as you edit. Code files get syntax highlighting across 200+ file types in dozens of editor themes, along with sticky scope headers, and minified JSON, XML, plist, CSS, or SQL is pretty-printed on read.
Looq also previews data and archives directly: TSV files appear as sortable, paginated tables, SQLite databases can be browsed by table and row with column types shown in tooltips, and diffs and patch files display red and green changes with paired line numbers. Zip, TAR, GZ, and BZ2 archives can be inspected without unpacking, folders can be browsed in list or icon views with sorting and grouping, and app bundles, installers, disk images, torrents, and provisioning profiles show metadata including signing, entitlements, and notarization.
Looq is built for large files, streaming content by page or chunk, and processes everything on your Mac without indexing or uploading your files. It is localized in English, German, French, Japanese, and Korean, offers 15 Markdown themes and 38 code themes with separate font settings, and requires macOS 15 or later.
