About
LunarBar is a free, open-source, minimalist calendar for the macOS menu bar. It displays the lunar calendar (农历) and public holidays, and can also show your system calendar and reminders.
To install, download LunarBar.dmg from the latest release and drag LunarBar.app into Applications, or run `brew install --cask lunarbar` if you use Homebrew. LunarBar checks for updates automatically and can also be checked manually. It is a sandboxed app that is signed and notarized. Older versions are available for macos-13, macos-14, and macos-15.
LunarBar is aimed at people who need to see the lunar calendar or public holidays on their Mac, and at those who prefer simple, minimal apps. The project has no feedback channel, and usage questions are directed to the wiki. Its minimal design is intentional, so it may not meet every need.
