Mac DVDRipper Pro

About

Mac DVD Ripper Pro (MDRP) is a DVD ripper for macOS that lets you copy your DVDs to digital files, skipping the parts you don't want such as trailers and ads. It can also convert incompatible video formats like .mkv and .avi into formats suited to Apple devices, and it can create DVD backups directly from the application.

MDRP includes on-device AI features. It can transcribe audio into soft subtitles in 99 languages, including for DVDs with no subtitle track, and translate subtitles into 23 languages. Burned-in subtitles are extracted using OCR. Its AI super-resolution can upscale SD video to HD or HD to 4K using CoreML models on the Apple Neural Engine. The company states that all AI processing runs on your Mac with no cloud service or data upload required.

The app is offered with a free trial that allows unlimited 15-minute previews and five full rips. The full unlocked version is listed at $49.95 (regularly $99.95), and upgrades from a previous version are listed at $24.95. It requires Mac OS X 11.0 or higher and is optimized for Apple Silicon.
