MacMD Viewer is a native Mac app that opens your .md files as readable documents, like Preview for Markdown. It's built for READMEs, specs and the plans your AI agent writes. The app is read-only by design, so your source files stay untouched.
Press Space on any Markdown file in Finder to preview it with Quick Look, or open it in a reading window for a longer read. The app renders headings, tables, code blocks with syntax highlighting, and Mermaid diagrams. You can follow a document outline, choose from 12 document themes, and zoom from 50% to 300%. When you save a file, the rendered view reloads, so you can keep a plan open beside your editor or AI coding tool. It works offline and can export to PDF.
