About
MacPilot lets you enable and disable hidden features in macOS without using the terminal or remembering commands. It unlocks over 1,200 features and makes them accessible through the familiar Macintosh user interface, with no command line tools or complicated file operations required. On-screen help appears when you hover over an option, and you can reset any setting to its default or use the "Reset All" button on each tab.
MacPilot covers a wide range of tasks. You can display hidden files in the Finder, disable the startup chime, add spacers and stacks to the Dock, change the screenshot file format, run maintenance tools, tweak network settings, and force empty the Trash. For managers of multiple computers, "save points" let you deploy the same configuration across any number of machines.
Other highlights include a System Profile with advanced system information, a Network Utility with ping, traceroute, port scan, whois, and DNS Lookup tools, an I/O Benchmark for testing storage performance, and Disk Info for detailed disk statistics. The File Browser shows invisible and system files, and the Maintenance tools let you rebuild Launch Services, clear caches, and reset common system databases.
