About
MacPulse is a Mac system monitor built for macOS 14 Sonoma and later, and it's presented as an alternative to Activity Monitor and iStat Menus. Its nine modules cover CPU, memory, network, disk, thermal, fans, battery, GPU, and processes on one dashboard, and CPU, memory, GPU, thermal, fan, and battery readings can be shown in the menu bar. Fan control offers custom curves and Silent, Balanced, Performance, and Full Speed presets.
The Insights Engine analyzes 30 days of historical data to surface patterns and anomalies. It covers topics such as thermal throttling, memory pressure trends, battery drain anomalies, and SSD growth predictions, and it explains them in plain English with actionable recommendations.
Performance Sessions let you record metrics at 1-second intervals during intensive tasks such as gaming, rendering, compiling, or debugging. Sessions can include FPS and frame time tracking, and you can name, save, and compare them. Session data can be exported as CSV for analysis in Excel, Numbers, or Python. A free trial is available for download.
