About
MDash is a native Mac app that turns Markdown, including answers copied from ChatGPT or Claude, into clean, print-ready PDFs. Its layout handles page breaks carefully: lines are never split across pages, headings stay with their content, and you can insert manual page breaks anywhere. Tables fit the page width with their headers kept alongside the first row, and long code lines wrap inside syntax-highlighted blocks instead of running off the page.
The editor shows a preview of the actual pages as you type, so what you see is what prints. You can choose US Letter, A4, or Legal page sizes, set per-edge margins, add page numbers, and pick between two typeset themes, Clean (sans) and Report (serif). Web links stay clickable, internal links jump to the right page, and documents with headings get an automatic table of contents in the PDF's sidebar. The app runs entirely on your Mac with no accounts, analytics, or cloud storage, and it is free to download with a one-time purchase or annual plan. It requires macOS 15 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

All release notesTABLE OF CONTENTS Add a table of contents page at the beginning of your document, automatically built from your headings and numbered to match the printed pages. Every entry is a link that works both in the preview and in the exported PDF. Turn it on in Layout, where you can also choose how many heading levels to show, give it your own title, and decide whether the rest of the document starts on a new page.
