Merlin Project is a project management app for Mac, iPad and iPhone that combines Gantt, Kanban, mind map and workload views in one data source. It is Apple-native, offline-capable, and runs entirely locally, so you don't need your own server or a cloud platform.
The views work together. In the Gantt chart you can link tasks, set milestones and read slack times, and the critical path recalculates as progress is entered. Moving a card in Kanban updates dates, the critical path and progress in the Gantt without switching views. Mind maps let you collect ideas and turn branches into phases, with nodes becoming tasks or milestones. The workload view shows who is at capacity and what is double-booked across all projects.
For team collaboration, the app syncs via iCloud Drive, Dropbox or, on the Mac, practically any common cloud service. Its patented MagicSync technology reconciles changes from multiple users and devices without losing data or producing conflict files. Merlin Project also imports and exports Microsoft Project XML, MPX, MindManager, CSV and other formats, and can produce PDF reports for clients.
