About

mi is a general-purpose text editor for macOS. It is free to use and runs on any CPU that supports the required operating system, including both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs through a universal build. It requires macOS 11.5 (Big Sur) or later, and it is compatible with macOS 27 Golden Gate.

The latest version is 3.10.1, which includes important security fixes. After downloading, you open the file by double-clicking it. The website also offers online help, a FAQ, a bug report page, and a custom GPT for creating tools with generative AI.

An App Store version of mi is planned. The developers say that version 3.11 will be released in both a standard edition and an App Store edition.
