About
Monologue is a voice dictation and notes app for Mac and iPhone. You speak naturally, and clean, formatted text appears in the app you're using. Its formatting adapts to context, so code goes into Cursor, full sentences into Gmail, and casual text into Slack. It also handles self-corrections by keeping your final message rather than the correction, and it can add paragraphs, punctuation, and sign-offs.
For notes, Monologue records from anywhere, transcribes and summarizes your notes, and syncs them across your devices. Its meeting notes are bot-free. MCP, API, and CLI access let you connect Monologue to AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, and Cursor, so they can work with the context you've captured.
Monologue also supports a personal dictionary for names and acronyms, 100+ languages, offline transcription with local models, and modes tailored to chatting, email, notes, and coding. A free trial includes 1,000 dictation words and 10 recorded notes. Monologue Pro, at $15/month or $144/year, offers unlimited dictation and notes.
