About
Mos is a free macOS menu bar utility that reshapes mouse wheel input so it scrolls like a trackpad. A regular wheel can only move in fixed steps, so Mos applies a tuned algorithm grounded in physical inertia to turn that input into smooth, precise motion. It supports macOS 10.13 or later and can be installed with Homebrew or downloaded from GitHub.
Mos lets you tailor scrolling to your needs. Each app can have its own scroll curve and behavior, and you can choose between a precise or smooth feel. The comparison guidance also points to axis tuning as part of its focus.
Mos can also bind any mouse button to a quick action, such as Mission Control, switching Spaces, or opening the app switcher. It includes Logitech key mapping for button integration. Mos is a good fit for macOS users who want smoother wheel scrolling on a mouse or trackball, while macOS defaults may be enough if the built-in behavior already feels right.
