About
muCommander is an easy-to-use, open source, dual-pane file manager available on all major operating systems, including macOS. It handles copying, moving, renaming, and batch renaming of files, and lets you email files. Other features include multiple tabs, universal bookmarks, a credentials manager, and configurable keyboard shortcuts.
muCommander's virtual filesystem supports local volumes as well as FTP, SFTP, SMB, NFS, HTTP, Amazon S3, Hadoop HDFS, and Bonjour. It also connects to cloud storage such as Dropbox and Google Drive. For archives, it works with ZIP, RAR, 7z, TAR, GZip, BZip2, ISO/NRG, AR/Deb, and LST files, and it can calculate checksums.
The user interface is fully customizable, with configurable toolbars and themes, and the app is available in many languages. Java 11 or later is required to run muCommander. For macOS 10.15 (Catalina) and earlier, the website recommends the noarch DMG download.
