About
Muesli is a free, open-source Mac app for dictation and meeting transcription. It listens from the menu bar, cleans up your words, and pastes them into the app you're already using. Press a hotkey (Right Cmd is the default for dictation), speak naturally, and the text appears where you're working. It's built for Apple Silicon and runs on-device.
Muesli can also capture meetings from your own computer audio, without a bot joining the call. Transcripts stay local and are easy to revisit. Muesli's local CLI lets shell-capable agents such as Codex and Claude Code read transcripts and notes so you can turn a discussion into a plan. It also supports 22 Indian languages, including Hinglish, with native-script or Romanized output.
Muesli is available as a download for macOS or via Homebrew (brew install --cask muesli).
