About
Munki is a set of tools that, when used together with a webserver-based repository of packages and package metadata, lets macOS administrators manage software installs (and in many cases removals) on macOS client machines. It can install software packaged in the Apple package format and supports drag-and-drop disk images as installer sources.
Munki is currently in use at organizations around the world, where it manages software for tens of thousands of Macs.
Getting started resources include the Getting Started with Munki guide, the project Wiki, and the source code on GitHub. Release notes and pre-built installer packages are on the releases page, and pre-signed installer packages are available through MacAdmins Open Source. For questions or help getting started, the munki-discuss group is the recommended place to ask, and support questions should not be posted as comments on wiki documentation pages.
