About
Music Widget is a mini player remote for Apple Music on macOS, a take on the classic iTunes widget. It has the same playback and volume controls as the original iTunes Dashboard widget, and the same keyboard shortcuts as the Music app.
Just like the original, clicking the Inspector button triggers a flip animation that reveals the Playlist chooser. If you stream live audio, such as Apple Music One or stations like CNN, Music Widget displays a UI designed specifically for streaming.
Music Widget is a fully native AppKit app that is lightweight and snappy. It is a Universal Binary for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, requires macOS Monterey or newer and Music.app, and is available in English, Spanish, Italian, Finnish, German, and Polish. An Apple Music subscription is not required, and it is not compatible with Spotify.
