About
Picard is a cross-platform music tagger powered by the open, community-maintained MusicBrainz database, which provides accurate information about millions of music releases. It supports popular formats including MP3, FLAC, OGG, M4A, WMA, and WAV, and can look up an entire music CD with a click.
Picard can identify files by their actual music using AcoustID audio fingerprints, even when they have no metadata. It can also find and download the correct cover art for your albums. A flexible scripting language lets you specify exactly how your music files are named and how their tags look, and Picard can rename files and sort them into a folder structure of your choice.
Picard is licensed under GPL 2.0 or later and is hosted on GitHub. If you need a particular feature, you can choose from available plugins or write your own.
