Navicat Data Modeler is a visual database design tool built to support data governance. It helps you enforce schema consistency, build entity-relationship diagrams, reverse-engineer live databases, and generate target SQL across your data stack. It supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite, and Snowflake.

The app lets you work across conceptual, logical, and physical models in one workspace and keep them aligned. Modeling methods include Relational, Dimensional, and Data Vault 2.0. Other capabilities include AI-powered design for creating, optimizing, and debugging database structures, naming standards and a shared glossary, a data dictionary for audit-ready documentation, reverse engineering from a live database or SQL, SQL export, and side-by-side comparison of model workspaces. Navicat Collaboration can sync model workspaces to Navicat Cloud or Navicat On-Prem Server so a team works from one copy.

Navicat Data Modeler is built natively for Windows, macOS, and Linux, so it follows each platform's UI. For macOS, the system requirements list macOS 14 Sonoma, macOS 15 Sequoia, macOS 26 Tahoe, and macOS 27 Golden Gate.
