About
NoMachine is a remote desktop application that lets you work on any computer across the Internet as if you were in front of it. Starting with version 10, it also supports terminal sessions, and it can act as a secure client and secure shell server, so you can interact with remote NoMachine systems from the command line. As a client, it can also connect to Windows, Mac, and Linux computers running SSH. The free edition has been discontinued and replaced by NoMachine Personal Edition, a commercial solution that includes support.
NoMachine can connect directly by IP address. Optionally, NoMachine Network adds a service that gives each published computer a unique Machine ID, allowing access even when both computers are behind a firewall or lack a public IP address. Network also adds security features such as 2FA, and it can be used to reach other Internet services like mail or media servers. Connecting to Network-published computers requires a Network subscription, priced by the number of concurrent connections, and a 7-day trial is available.
The provided text does not describe any features specific to the Mac version of NoMachine; its Mac mention relates only to connecting to Mac computers running SSH.
