About
Notesnook is a notes app for macOS, available alongside Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and the web. Notes are end-to-end encrypted, and your notes sync between devices encrypted before they leave your device, so only you can read them. The app is open source, so its code can be checked, and unlimited notes are free. Paid plans add storage and features.
The editor supports tables, task lists, outlines, maths and formulas, code blocks, images and files, and Markdown. You can lock the app with a fingerprint, PIN, or password, and move especially private notes into a Vault that requires a second password. Notes can be linked together, reminders can be set on any note, and the web clipper saves articles without ads or trackers. You can also publish a single note as a web page, optionally password protected, while the rest of your account stays private.
Notesnook can also receive notes from other apps. An inbox API lets services such as Zapier, IFTTT, or your own scripts add notes to your account, and those notes are encrypted like everything you write yourself.
