About
Notomo is a Mac app that adds Markdown shortcuts, quick actions, reusable Skills, and note-aware AI to the Apple Notes window you already use. Type familiar Markdown markers, such as # and a space for a title, and Notomo turns them into native Apple Notes formatting as you write. Press / for slash commands to format, insert templates, or ask AI. Select text to use the inline toolbar to improve, explain, or reformat it. Press ⌘O to jump to any note or folder, and use the command palette to copy, export, link, and more.
Notomo's Assistant opens beside Apple Notes and can reference the current note or a Skill with @. Skills are stored as notes in a top-level Skills folder in Apple Notes, so you can reuse them without maintaining a separate prompt library. You can bring your own AI provider, such as ChatGPT or xAI accounts or API keys, and Notomo does not include AI credits. When you're happy with a reply, you can copy it and paste it back into the open note with its formatting. Actions can also run on selected text in apps like Mail or Safari, and global shortcuts let you search notes from anywhere.
Notomo works with Apple Notes on your Mac and does not host a copy of your notes or sync them to Cosmo Studio. Only the context you send goes to the AI provider and model you configure. It requires macOS 15 or newer. Notomo is a one-time purchase with no subscription and includes a 30-day free trial.
