About
NTFSTool lets you plug in an NTFS-formatted Windows drive and use it like any Mac disk, with full read and write access. Drives mount automatically when connected, and the app works without a kernel extension, Recovery Mode, or lowered security settings, so Apple Pay keeps working. It supports both Intel and Apple silicon Macs, and the Pro version runs on macOS 12 or later, with a classic version for macOS 10.15 to 11.
Beyond read and write access, NTFSTool Pro includes one-click First Aid for drives left in a dirty or hibernated state, the ability to erase a drive as NTFS, S.M.A.R.T. health status for disks, and a built-in speed test. Per-drive settings such as read-only or no auto-mount are available, along with menu bar control. A free edition is available on the Mac App Store for macOS 15.6 or later.
NTFSTool Pro is a one-time purchase with lifetime updates and no subscription, and it comes with a 45-day read/write guarantee. Support is provided by email, with replies from a real person within 48 hours. The app is Apple notarized, and it is also available through Homebrew with the command brew install --cask ntfstool.
