Nugget is an open-source Mac app, licensed under AGPL-3.0, that lets you customize your iOS device. It offers features such as animated PosterBoard wallpapers (including converting videos into wallpapers), status bar changes like carrier name, battery display, and time or date text, and Springboard options such as lock screen footnotes and auto-lock settings. It also includes internal options, the ability to disable certain system daemons, and Mobile Gestalt tweaks such as enabling Dynamic Island on any device or changing the device model name.

The project supports iOS 17.0 through 26.0+, with some features limited to specific versions. Users are warned to back up their data before use, since Nugget may cause unforeseen problems, and the warning notes that the app should not be used on iOS 27 because it will most likely result in data loss. The developers state they are not responsible for any damage to devices.

Setup involves installing Python 3.9 or newer, the required packages from requirements.txt, and either the Apple Devices app or iTunes on Windows, or usbmuxd and libimobiledevice on Linux. On iOS 26.1 and below, users may need to obtain a device-specific MobileGestalt file using a provided Shortcuts workflow.
