About
Offset Explorer (formerly Kafka Tool) is a GUI application for managing and using Apache Kafka clusters. Its interface lets you quickly view the objects in a Kafka cluster, including brokers, topics, and consumers, as well as the messages stored in its topics. You can view message contents in your partitions, add new messages, view consumer offsets, and display JSON, XML, and Avro messages in a pretty-printed format. The app includes features for both developers and administrators, such as adding and dropping topics, saving individual messages to your local hard drive, importing and exporting messages, generating test data, finding messages across topics and partitions, and visualizing topic data as time-based charts. It also offers a command-line tool for Kafka, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, and message operations, and supports custom plugins for viewing custom data formats. Offset Explorer runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS, and is available in many languages.
Offset Explorer is free for personal use only. Non-personal use, including commercial, educational, and non-profit work, requires purchasing a license. Non-personal use is permitted for evaluation for 30 days after downloading the software, after which you must purchase a valid license or remove the software.
