About
OmniWM brings the Hyprland and Niri experience to macOS. Its Niri layout arranges windows as a scrolling strip of columns or rows, depending on your monitor's orientation setting, and you can swap windows, cycle widths through presets, or resize both axes with the mouse. For Hyprland-style tiling, its dwindle BSP layout bisects the focused tile with each new window, and you can tune split ratios, group tiles into tabs, and take any tile fullscreen with one key.
OmniWM also includes a built-in Ghostty quake terminal, which uses Ghostty's libghostty rendering inside OmniWM and stays in place while workspaces switch. A unified command palette searches windows, menu items, clipboard history, OmniWM commands, applications, and files behind one hotkey. Overview shows every window from every workspace in one zoomable view for rearranging them, and the workspace bar, scratchpads, and Menu Anywhere add further ways to navigate. Trackpad gestures with two, three, or four fingers drive the Niri strip, and full IPC/CLI automation is available.
OmniWM requires macOS 26+ (Tahoe) on Apple Silicon and is licensed under GPL-2.0. It is free, and you can install it with `brew install --cask omniwm`.
