About
AIPOCH Open-Science is an open-source, local-first AI research workbench for macOS, Windows, and Linux. It brings scientific agents, Python and R execution, scientific Connectors, and traceable artifacts into one workspace, keeping research questions, project files, code execution, outputs, and review evidence together in persistent projects. Agents can plan multi-step work, delegate scoped tasks to Specialists, and run Python, R, shell commands, or research tools, while reports, tables, figures, and notebooks are preserved as versioned artifacts linked to their inputs, code, and execution history.
Researchers can extend the workbench with 48 built-in Scientific Connectors covering literature, biomedical databases, genomics, chemistry, and clinical research, along with reusable Skills and purpose-scoped Specialists that operate within the researcher's permission settings. An opt-in Reviewer can compare completed agent work against its transcripts, execution records, and artifacts to flag unsupported claims or missing evidence, though it does not certify scientific correctness. Project state is stored on the user's computer by default, and data leaves the device only when a researcher invokes a configured model provider, connector, web search, or remote compute host.
Selected conversation branches, file versions, Notebook records, and verification evidence can be exported as a .science package for review, handoff, archiving, or continuation on another project or computer.
