About

Overview is a free and open source window preview tool for macOS. It creates live previews for any application and lets you activate them through built-in task switching. Previews update in real time at configurable frame rates and can hide automatically. You can switch applications by clicking a preview or by using global keyboard shortcuts, including window cycling. Saved layouts, window restoration controls, and window position memory help you keep your setup organized.

You can customize how previews look and behave, including their appearance, visibility, and saving and restoration options. Glanceable overlays show source app names, window titles, and focus status, and focus border indicators, adjustable opacity, and customizable shadows are also available. The app is macOS native, works in fullscreen, includes automatic updates, and offers a beta updates channel.

Overview is supported by donations through GitHub Sponsors and Patreon. According to the project, these donations help cover operating expenses and enable continued development.
