OVITO Pro

About

OVITO Pro is the professional edition of OVITO, the scientific visualization and analysis tool for particle-based simulations. It adds analysis, visualization, and automation functions to the free OVITO Basic edition, including more modifiers such as spatial binning, time averaging, bond angle analysis, and volumetric region analysis. It also supports additional file formats, including ASE databases and trajectories, and can export 3D scenes in glTF. For rendering, it offers the Tachyon, OSPRay, and VisRTX engines for CPU and GPU rendering.

OVITO Pro also includes Python-based features. Users can export data and visualization pipelines as ready-to-run Python programs, write custom modifiers and viewport overlays in Python, and develop file readers for new data formats using the integrated Python interpreter. It extends LAMMPS integration by letting users run LAMMPS scripts from within OVITO and visualize LAMMPS regions. Multiple pipelines allow several simulations to be compared in one scene, and OpenSSH integration provides access to simulation data on remote computers.

OVITO Pro is developed by expert scientists in Germany and has been available since 2009. Installing it requires a license. Downloads are offered for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
