PDF Search reads every word and page in the documents you own, including PDFs, Word, Pages, slides, and scanned images, and ranks the pages that best answer your query. Results open on the right page with every hit highlighted, and you can jump between ranked results with one click.

AI Chat lets you ask questions in plain language. It searches your library using PDF Search's ranking, reads the pages it needs, and answers with numbered sources that open on the exact page. You can choose where the AI runs, including Apple Intelligence, local models via Ollama or LM Studio, or your own Gemini key, and the description notes that Apple Intelligence data stays on device or on Apple's Private Cloud Compute.

On Mac, the app also converts Word, PowerPoint, Pages, Keynote, and other formats into searchable PDFs within the app, indexes text in images, and supports tags, bookmarks, notes, and exporting selected pages into a new PDF.
