About
PDF Squeezer is a Mac app for compressing PDF files quickly and easily. Drag a file into the app window or onto the app icon, and compression begins. You can batch compress multiple files or the contents of a folder, including subfolders. All PDF files from version 1.0 to the current 2.0 standard can be processed, and the compressed files can be opened by any standard PDF application. Password-protected PDFs are supported, and everything is processed entirely on your device, so no Internet connection is required.
You can choose from predefined compression profiles or create your own, then export and share them with others. Side-by-side comparisons let you compare files and different compression settings to help you get a file with little or no loss of visual quality. Beyond compressing images, the app offers advanced options such as changing image resolution and color profile, removing unused font glyphs, removing annotations, form fields, or metadata, and removing thumbnails. It also includes tools such as exporting all images from a PDF and a detailed inspector for viewing file properties.
PDF Squeezer can be integrated into your workflow with the Shortcuts or Automator actions, Quick Actions, Folder Actions, and a command line interface, and you can ask Siri to compress your files. The app supports full-screen mode, which is useful when comparing compressions, and it shows how much disc space you have saved since you started using it. The app has been localized into 24 languages.
