PdfCraft is an open-source PDF workbench for reading, organizing, combining, splitting and securing PDFs. It is a fast, native app written in Rust from the ground up, with no account, no telemetry and no cloud. It is free and available for macOS (a Universal disk image for Apple silicon and Intel Macs), as well as Windows, Linux and the web.
PdfCraft renders world scripts, vertical Japanese, color emoji and transparency faithfully. Search works as you type, and text selection follows the document's real reading order. You can rotate, delete, insert and reorder pages like cards, with deep undo behind every change. When you combine, extract or split documents, links, form fields, layers and bookmarks stay intact.
Saves are incremental and atomic, with autosave and crash recovery. PdfCraft opens everything from RC4 to AES-256 encryption and honors author permissions. You can install it with the ArtCraft Launcher, which keeps it updated, or download the standalone installer for your Mac.
