About
PDFsam Basic is a free, open-source desktop app for splitting, merging, extracting, rotating and mixing PDF files. It is available for Windows, macOS and Linux, requires no sign-up and no Internet connection, and works entirely on your computer. Your files are never uploaded, and the app adds no watermarks and sets no file size limit.
You can merge PDF files and choose which pages to include, along with their bookmarks and interactive forms. Split a PDF at given page numbers, at a chosen bookmark level, or into files of a given size. You can also extract the pages you need and save them as a new PDF, or rotate every page or only selected pages.
The Mix tool merges two PDFs by taking pages alternately from each, which is useful if you have a single-sided scanner. PDFsam Basic has been available since 2006 and is distributed under the AGPL license.
