P4 Visual Client (P4V) is the graphical user interface for P4, giving users direct access to their P4 server environments so they can perform essential versioning tasks. Within P4V, users can create, edit, and manage branches with Perforce Streams, support branch-per-bug and branch-per-feature workflows, and view the relationships between parent and child streams in a graphical representation.
P4V also provides visualization tools for exploring code history. Users can view branches and integrations in the Revision Graph, see a file's integration history as a tree, and use the Time-lapse View to compare all versions of a single file and see when lines were added, changed, or deleted and by whom. For customization, P4V supports custom HTML actions, tabs, and windows built with P4VJS, custom tools launched from existing context menus, and command-line launching of P4V components such as the Revision Graph for a specific file.
P4V is available to add for free to users of P4 or P4 Cloud, and P4 can be started free for up to 5 users and 20 workspaces.
