About
pgAdmin 4 is an open-source management tool for PostgreSQL that runs in desktop or server mode on Windows, macOS, Linux, and in containers. On macOS it is distributed as a signed and notarised disk image built as a universal binary, so it runs on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
The app lets you create, browse, and maintain every PostgreSQL object through a graphical interface that keeps the generated SQL in plain sight. Its query tool includes syntax highlighting, auto-completion, query history, and a graphical EXPLAIN view for seeing where query time is spent.
pgAdmin 4 is released under the PostgreSQL licence and is maintained by the people who use it. New versions are released roughly every six weeks, and the interface has been translated by the community.
