About
PicGo is an open-source image and file uploader for Windows, macOS and Linux. It uploads to services such as GitHub, S3 and PicGo Cloud, then gives you a link you can paste right away, including Markdown. You can drag and drop files into PicGo, and it uploads them and copies the URL to your clipboard. You can also upload from the clipboard with a customizable global shortcut (Cmd Shift U by default). On Windows and macOS, a right-click context menu offers upload as well.
PicGo also works inside your editor. It integrates with Obsidian and Typora, so you can paste an image and let PicGo handle the upload in the background without switching windows. Its Visual History gallery lets you preview everything you have uploaded, copy links again, or delete records with one click. Records are stored locally on your machine.
PicGo can be extended with plugins, including Watermark for adding text or image watermarks before upload, Migrator for moving local and remote images in Markdown to a new host, and Compressor for automatically compressing images. For automation, it offers a native CLI, an HTTP API on port 36677, and a Node.js SDK. PicGo Skills also let AI agents upload images and files and return hosted URLs.
