PicView is a fast, free, and fully customizable picture viewer for macOS and Windows 10/11. It supports a wide range of image formats, including animated WEBP and GIF, SVG, AVIF, HEIC, PSD, and comic book archives such as RAR, ZIP, CBR, and CBZ. Other features include viewing EXIF metadata, image compression, batch resizing, viewing images inside archives and comic books, image effects, and image galleries.
PicView aims to be clean and distraction-free, with no annoying pop-ups and zero tracking. It works out of the box, and you can customize the interface and settings to suit your needs. The UI is compact and can be hidden when not needed, and the app offers dark and light themes. It is available in both portable and installable versions.
For editing and management, PicView lets you rotate, flip, and crop images, convert them to other formats, and losslessly optimize them. You can also rename or move files, resize images by pixels or percentage, batch convert, optimize, or resize many images at once, and browse with a gallery and customizable keyboard shortcuts.
