About
Pieces runs in the background on your computer and builds a searchable memory from what you already do. It captures research, chats, emails, notes, meetings, and more from the apps you use, forming memories every 2 seconds. The result is a living timeline you can search, filter, and revisit, and you can ask questions about past work, scoped by time, source, or topic. It can also generate standup updates, morning briefs, meeting prep, and day recaps from your real context.
All memories are saved on-device by default. You stay in control: you can pause Pieces at any time, disable capture from specific apps and websites, and delete data from particular times, apps, websites, or capture methods such as vision, clipboard, or audio. Clipboard capture is opt-in only.
Pieces MCP Server carries your history into tools like Claude, Cursor, Codex, and Antigravity. Individuals can start with personal memory, and teams can adopt Pieces to turn individual context into shared knowledge. Enterprise teams get additional controls, including bringing their own API keys, setting org-wide capture policies, and enforcing compliance.
