About
Pieces runs in the background on your computer, forming a searchable memory of your work. It captures what you see in the currently focused application, what you copy and paste (opt-in only), and what you hear and say in meetings and conversations. Pieces forms memories every 2 seconds from apps you already use, including Gmail, Slack, Chrome, Figma, Notion, VS Code, and Zoom. Its captured activity appears as a living, chronological timeline that you can search, filter, and revisit.
You can ask questions about what you've done and scope them by time, source, or topic. Pieces can also generate standup updates, morning briefs, meeting prep, and day recaps from your real context, so you spend less time retracing your steps. Pieces MCP Server can carry your history into assistants such as Claude, Cursor, and Codex. For teams, individual context can become shared knowledge.
All memories are saved on-device by default. You can pause Pieces at any time, disable capture from specific apps and websites, and delete data from specific times, apps, websites, or capture methods such as vision, clipboard, or audio.
