About
PikPak is a service for downloading files to a private cloud drive and playing them back from anywhere. Its cloud download servers handle the transfer, so downloads happen on PikPak's remote server rather than your own connection. You can add links from Torrent, Magnet, or Social Media (X/Twitter) posts. The website says all server communication uses an encrypted protocol, so your ISP cannot monitor what you save. The service is available for macOS, along with Windows, Android, iOS, TV, web, a browser extension, and a Telegram bot.
Files saved to your PikPak Private Cloud Drive can be browsed on different devices at any time. You can play saved videos online, including 4K videos at original quality, and PikPak offers multiple video resolution options for different network conditions. Playback is similar to using YouTube, according to the website.
PikPak is best suited to transferring and storing media files such as videos. The website notes that there are quotas for uploading files, and that local photos or documents cannot be synced.
