About
Ping is a lightweight uptime monitor that runs entirely on your Mac. It tracks the status and speed of websites, APIs, servers, routers, IoT devices, and other network endpoints, showing live status in the menu bar and sending local notifications when something goes down or becomes unreachable. It supports HTTP, ICMP, and TCP pinging with IPv6 and IPv4, works with local devices without requiring internet access, and lets you mass-import URLs via CSV. You can also set response-time thresholds, configure webhooks to trigger emails, SMS, or other services on failure, set custom ping intervals per URL, log responses or stream them to Terminal, and use AppleScript for automation. Because Ping connects directly to your endpoints without third-party servers, your data stays on your Mac. A free, limited version is available on the Mac App Store, with Ping Pro available as an in-app purchase or directly from the developer.
