About
Plus42 is an enhanced HP-42S scientific programmable RPN calculator simulator, built on Free42, which is a re-implementation of the HP-42S made without any HP code. Plus42 adds a larger display (8 rows and 22 columns, or 131x64 pixels by default) that the user can resize, algebraic expressions modeled on the HP-27S and HP-17B/19B, and attached units with unit conversions modeled on the HP-48/49/50 series. It also adds directories for organizing programs and variables, TVM and amortization tables, and two-dimensional function plotting with zoom and pan, plus the ability to find integrals and roots from points in the plot.
The Mac version is free to download and requires macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later. Plus42 is open source, released under the GNU General Public License, version 2, and its source code is available on Codeberg. The latest release is 1.4.1.
Plus42 is fully compatible with Free42 and the HP-42S, so the HP-42S and Free42 documentation applies to it as well. Donations are optional and processed via PayPal.
