About
Plus42 is a free, open source scientific programmable calculator for macOS (10.15 Catalina or later), based on Free42, a re-implementation of the HP-42S RPN calculator. Its display defaults to 8 rows by 22 columns (131x64 pixels) and can be resized. It also adds algebraic expressions modeled on the HP-27S and HP-17B/19B, attached units and unit conversions modeled on the HP-48/49/50 series, directories for organizing programs and variables, and TVM and amortization tables.
Plus42 also includes two-dimensional function plotting, with zoom and pan, and the ability to find integrals and roots from points on the plot. It is fully compatible with Free42 and the HP-42S. The website does not mention any product called "Plus42 Decimal," so this description covers the Plus42 Mac download listed on the site.
The macOS version is a free download under the GNU General Public License, version 2. Donations are optional and processed through PayPal.
