Portfolio Performance is an open source tool that calculates the overall performance of an investment portfolio across all of your accounts. It uses either True-Time Weighted Rate of Return or Internal Rate of Return (IRR) to measure results. You can record the full history of your transactions, including purchases, sales, taxes, and fees, and calculate performance indicators for your holdings.
The app can load historical prices from sources such as HTML, JSON, Yahoo Finance, Leeway, Quandl, AlphaVantage, CoinGecko, and more, and it includes a built-in price provider for German and US stocks. It also lets you rebalance your portfolio based on a freely defined asset allocation and keep foreign currency accounts using exchange rates published by the European Central Bank (ECB). All data is stored in XML and can be exported as CSV or JSON for further processing.
Portfolio Performance is available as a desktop version for Windows, macOS, and Linux, and the website also lists a mobile app.
