About
Power Manager is an automation and energy saving application for macOS. It can power on a Mac, run a series of tasks, and power off the Mac without requiring any interaction. Schedules are built from events, each of which combines triggers, conditions, and actions, so you can set up separate events for different times of day or week. Events range from simple actions like putting the Mac to sleep after a period of inactivity to more complex sequences, such as powering on, waiting for a user to log in, and then running an AppleScript or Automator workflow.
Power Manager is aimed at power users, from individuals who want to automate tasks like backups to organisations that need more control over their Mac networks. It offers a Schedule Assistant for quickly creating events and an Event Editor for customising them. It works even when no one is logged in, quits applications gracefully, and shows countdowns and notifications before events that could affect users. For deployment, a standard Installer package is available. Administrators can create or change schedules by default, and the software supports Dark Mode, a status menu, cron expressions, and a scripting dictionary.
