Protokol is a lightweight, responsive console app from hexler for monitoring and logging control protocols. Originally built as a MIDI monitor and Open Sound Control network checker, it is designed to handle any complex message stream. The current version supports MIDI, OSC, Art-Net, and game controller inputs.

All incoming data is rendered at 60 frames per second. Granular filtering of message and event types, plus an optional timestamp, lets you log exactly what you need. This responsiveness and flexibility helps you track down critical issues, conflicts, and interrupts.

The Mac version requires macOS 10.13 or later and supports both Intel and Apple silicon. Protokol is also available for Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, iOS, and Android, with the same interface. A complete online user manual is provided for all platforms.
