About
ProxyBridge sends the TCP and UDP traffic of the applications you choose through a SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy, including apps that have no proxy settings of their own. You add a proxy address and port, create a rule that picks the application (optionally narrowed by hosts or ports), and run the app. Its traffic then goes through your proxy without any change to the app itself. Rules can match by target address, port, protocol or hostname, and can route, allow or block traffic. Proxies can use an optional username and password.
On macOS, ProxyBridge is a native SwiftUI app built on the Network Extension framework, and it requires macOS 13 Ventura or later. It is free and MIT licensed, with no paid tier, and its source code is available on GitHub. The site notes that installing on macOS requires a one-time system extension approval, so the install guide should be read first.
ProxyBridge only changes where an application's traffic goes. It is not a VPN and does not hide your IP address, and what happens to the traffic depends on the proxy you point it at. The site asks users to run it only on systems and networks they are allowed to use.
