About
Proxygen is an HTTP proxy for app developers that lets you debug and inspect HTTP traffic on your Mac, iPhone, and iPad. You can intercept, inspect, and test HTTP traffic from your apps on your Mac, with no configuration headaches. Its Send to Mac feature pairs your Mac with your iOS device over the local network, so you can intercept and edit messages on the fly without changing Wi-Fi proxy settings or installing trusted certificates.
Proxygen includes tools for deeper testing. Intercepted requests and responses appear in a queue that you can process in any order, and you can edit them before they reach their destination. Its automation features let you modify requests by replacing placeholders with test payloads such as numbers, dates, or character combinations, and flip bits and bytes to test edge cases. A diff tool compares any two HTTP requests or responses and handles both text and binary data. The feature list also includes WebSocket and SSE monitoring, filtering and search, client app lookup, JavaScript scripting, and multiple proxy listeners.
Proxygen requires macOS 13.0 or higher and offers a free trial, with no time limit, that has some features limited. A Personal License costs $39 one time and covers two Mac activations, and a Team License costs $299 one time and covers up to 20 Mac activations. License keys are transferable. Proxygen for iOS is also available for iPhone and iPad, though full iOS functionality cannot be unlocked with an external license key.
