About
Proxyman is a native macOS app for capturing, decrypting, and mocking HTTP(S) requests and responses. It acts as a man-in-the-middle server between your applications and web servers, with built-in macOS setup so you can inspect HTTP/HTTPS traffic in plain text with one click. Traffic can be viewed by app or domain, with body syntax highlighting, and narrowed down using multiple filters that support wildcards, regex, full-text search, and saved filters.
For debugging, Proxyman includes a Breakpoint Tool for modifying requests and responses on the fly, including URL, headers, body, and status code, without changing client code. Its Map Local Tool mocks responses with local files, and its Scripting Tool lets you manipulate requests and responses with JavaScript. The app also offers GraphQL debugging by operation name, real-time WebSocket frame inspection, a split view for two traffic panes, and a built-in Diff Tool for comparing requests and responses.
Proxyman also supports mobile capture with standalone apps and includes an MCP server that lets AI assistants such as Claude Code read captured traffic, analyze requests, and create debugging rules from your terminal. It runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 14 or later.
