About
Pulsar is a community-led, hyper-hackable text editor and a fork of the discontinued Atom editor, carrying forward its mission of combining hackability and usability. It works across operating systems, including macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Pulsar includes a built-in package manager for finding and installing packages or creating your own. It integrates with language servers to provide autocompletion, smart navigation, and other IDE features. A filesystem browser lets you open a single file, a whole project, or multiple projects in one window, and multiple panes let you compare and edit code across files. Git integration lets you switch branches, stage code, resolve merge conflicts, and view open GitHub pull requests.
Because Pulsar is built on web technologies, anyone who can write JavaScript or CSS can customize it. Nearly anything about its appearance or behavior can be changed through your own configuration files. Editing tools such as multiple cursors, snippets, and semantic selections are also included.
