About
Pulse shows every process on your computer, which you can sort, search, and group by app, each with its own icon. You can quit or force quit a process, or open one to see its history, parent, and children. Processor usage is shown core by core, with Performance and Efficiency cores separated, along with load and temperature. Memory is broken down into apps, wired, compressed, and cached memory, with a view of how hard the system works to find more and which apps hold the most.
Pulse also covers the GPU and its engines, every volume and network interface, and which apps move the most data, down to each connection, its host, and its service. For energy, it reports battery health and cycles, what the whole computer draws, energy use by app, temperatures, and what keeps the computer awake. CPU, memory, network, or temperature can also sit in the menu bar at a glance, with the full window a click away.
Pulse is available as a free download for Apple silicon Macs, Windows, and Linux, with platform-specific details noted on the site. It is a native app written in Go with MyGo, a framework whose UI toolkit draws every window on the GPU. According to the site, it has no web view, a small download, and uses about 3% of one core while its window is showing.
