About
QCTools helps users analyze and understand their digitized video files through audiovisual analytics and filtering. It is available for macOS, as well as Windows and several Linux distributions, and the current listed version is 1.4.1.
QCTools offers graphing features that include YUV values, Temporal Outliers (TOUT), Vertical Line Repetitions (VREP), Broadcast Range (BRNG), Crop Width and Height (CropW and CropH), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNRf), and Mean Square Error (MSEf) differences per frame. Its preview window serves as an analytical playback environment, where users can review video through multiple filters at once. The window has two viewing areas that can each be set to different filter combinations, such as Histogram, Waveform, Vectorscope, Extract Planes, Bit Plane, Noise Value, and Saturation Highlight.
QCTools is open-source software, so end users and developers are free to study, improve, and redistribute it. The program is licensed under GPLv3, and the code developed by BAVC is licensed under the 3-Clause BSD license.
